Meat Me - my first thought was: what a cute name! Most of you perhaps have also realized that 'meat me' can also be pronounced as 'meet me'. So, if the person who came up with that name truly meant 'meat me' to be both 'meat me' and 'meet me' (excuse the wordy sentence), Meat Me should be an ideal place for someone who loves good steak, but also wants a cozy place to hang out with friends or meet up for business!

Meat me is located in one of the busiest malls in Jakarta, Mall Kota Kasablanka, inside the Food Society area. Decorated in a typical modern cafe style with a lot of wood usage and hanging lamps, Meat Me is a pretty comfortable place that makes you want to sit down and talk for hours! 

You can pick your own choice of meat at the pretty glass display case in front of the restaurant; Meat Me guarantees that everything is fresh and juicy! And yes it should be - at least according to the explanation stating that all the meat used are premium quality and imported from US or Australia. After choosing the cut of meat, Meat Me will cook it to your preference - no extra charge, obviously. You also get one side dish, salad, and sauce. 

We ordered Australia Grain Fed Sirloin 225gr (IDR 145k) and we asked to cook it medium well, served with salad and french fries. Voila! We got medium well steak! The mushroom sauce was also really nice.

We also ordered Pacific Grilled White Salmon, with Sauté Vegetables and Spicy Teriyaki Sauce (IDR 110k). Unlike the meat, you can't pick your own sauce, as it's already a package deal. I was disappointed with the salmon because it wasn't really fresh; the sauce was also too salty that I hardly could taste anything else. The meat dish tasted infinitely better than the salmon, so yes, Meat Me is indeed aptly named. 

For the drinks, we tried Caramel Milkshake (IDR 45k); it is quite nice. It contains vanilla ice cream, milk, and caramel syrup.

In conclusion, go eat some meat and meet your friends at Meat Me! Try it and spread the news! (The last sentence is Meat Me's slogan... Hahaha!)
