Gardens by the Bay : Flower Dome
8:00 PM
Inside Gardens by the Bay park area, Singapore, there are three main spots that you can visit: Flower Dome, Cloud Forest, and OCBC Skyway. At the time of my visit, I only got time to visit the Flower Dome. Gardens by the Bay is located in front of Marina Bay Sands, you can go here by hopping on a bus or taking the MRT to Bayfront Station, which I think is the more convenient mode of transportation.

First of all, I am a girl who only loves certain type of flowers. In other words, I am not that fond of flowers and oblivious to the different species that are not my favourites. As a result, at Flower Dome, I mostly enjoyed the technology of how the dome was made, took pictures with the beautiful flower arrangements, and played at the games booth. The games booth (located near the exit) is actually targeted for children to help them appreciate the nature, it tells a lot about how nature is important to us. Flower Dome is also perfect to hide from the Singapore sun because the whole dome is air-conditioned.

When I went there, there was an orchid festival. The dome was decorated with all types of orchids, beside the original arrangement. It is amazing how Singapore continuously goes to great lengths to attract more tourists. Entrance to Flower Dome costs foreigners 28 SGD and local residents 20 SGD (includes entry to Cloud Forest) on the spot, there is no admission fee difference whether there is a festival or not. On the other hand, you can try to find cheaper ticket promotions before you go to Singapore in various websites or local agency, such as Shilla Tour in Indonesia.
